WHO IS PERCIVAL?

Percival Fisher, Jr. is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) from the International Association of Trauma Professionals. Percival has progressive experience with leading university, health care, and residential treatment organizations. Percival is currently making a career transition into the field of Nursing. Percival is taking prerequisites while earning a second masters degree in Public Health (MPH).
Percival's long time goals are to become a Nurse Researcher/Scholar and Family/Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. Percival wants to use this academic foundation along with his previous clinical knowledge in Clinical Social Work to improve health and mental health systems both in the United States and abroad.
Percival has expertise in leadership, advocacy, clinical practice, teaching, research, program design and implementation. Percival has published original clinical research projects and presented his works at various conferences and seminars. Percival has demonstrated skills as a leader, collaborator, mentor, and coach. Percival is motivated by social justice, service oriented, and results driven.
Percival's interests include physical health, psychiatric/mental health, public health, health care, education, HIV/AIDs prevention, nutrition, research, and social issues involving disadvantaged and highly marginalized populations including African American men and women and individuals who identify LGBTQIA.

Facilitating discharge planning with a multidisciplinary team in an acute medical/outpatient setting, including the emergency department. Collaborating with patients and families to identify needs and develop psychosocial assessments to implement an individual treatment plan in order to cope and/or restore social, emotional, financial, & environmental factors, which has been affected by an illness.

SENIOR COMPREHENSIVE ASSESSMENT COORDINATOR

Assisted the Director of Assessment in training and supervision of staff (Junior Research Coordinators/Assistants) and other trainees on standardized assessment to ensure high-quality data collection for longitudinal studies examining brain and behavior in youth and young adults at risk for psychosis.
